Elena’s love for nature was the impetus to capture nature in all its’ splendor in the Featured Floral series. Some of the images such as the California Girls, Jungle Princess and Nature’s Trumpets were created as straight image transfers. Also included are the emulsion transfers of "Dancing Plant" ,"Ikebana Women" which were meant to be whimsical and fantasy-like in appearance.

 "The Reed at Eel River" evoked a small, but proud existence among all the other wild plants in the area, and was best suited as an emulsion transfer. "I hope that the viewer of this series will feel the same closeness and beauty to nature I felt when photographing these lovely subjects."
