Art Beyond the Boundaries - Nouveau Photographique would like to welcome Lisa Rigge as our guest, thru August 31, 2000
Artist Statement Although photography is both technical and creative. I tend to focus on the intuitive, creative side to best express my feelings in a photograph. The strength of the image has always been more important to me than the technical means to achieve it. Thus, my experience in photography ranges from black and white straight prints, to hand coloring black and white images, to the printing of Polaroid transfers, and most recently, to SX-70 manipulations. With the incredible diversity these photographic processes give me, I am able to carefully think out which method works best with each image. The main focus of my work today is Polaroid transfers. I now work with 8 x 10 Image Transfers and am represented by the Barlett Gallery in Pleasanton, CA. I also teach hand-coloring black & white images and the Polaroid Image processes at the Junior College level. I am also working on creating a portfolio of SX-70 Time Zero Manipulations. Recents Shows
